1. How Does TaoFind Process Pasted Shopping Links?
When you paste a standard Taobao, Tmall, Weidian, 1688, or shopping agent URL into our Universal Link Unwrapper or Batch 30-Link Parser, regex extraction occurs directly inside your local browser session. If you paste an encrypted mobile share shortlink (such as e.tb.cn or m.tb.cn), our server-side endpoint (/api/resolve-link) fetches only the HTTP redirect header to extract the canonical numeric item ID. Client IP addresses are held transiently in volatile memory for 60 seconds strictly to enforce our 20-requests-per-minute anti-abuse rate limit and are never written to persistent disk logs.
2. What Cookies and Analytics Are Used (Google Consent Mode v2)?
TaoFind uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure aggregate tool performance (events such as search_query, tool_calculate, lead_capture_submit, and outbound_click). In accordance with Google Consent Mode v2 requirements for visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and California (CCPA/CPRA), you may accept or decline non-essential analytics storage via our Consent Banner at any time. Your preference is stored locally under the browser key taofind_cookie_consent_v2.
3. How Are Email Subscriptions Handled?
If you voluntarily submit your email address to receive our printable cross-border buyer cheat sheet or FX rate audit alerts via /api/subscribe, your email address is used exclusively to deliver the requested guide and periodic exchange-rate notifications. Every email includes a 1-click unsubscribe link, or you may request immediate deletion by emailing admin@taofind.com.
4. Affiliate Disclosure & Outbound Agent Links
TaoFind is an independent cross-border utility and price-auditing workbench. When you click an outbound button to open an item on a third-party shopping agent (such as Superbuy, CNFans, AllChinaBuy, Mulebuy, KakoBuy, Oopbuy, or Sugargoo), the destination URL may include a referral parameter. This never increases your item price, domestic freight, or international shipping fee, and frequently unlocks new-user shipping coupon bundles on the destination platform.
